  1. Family Income and Expenditure Accounting Survey by Record-Keeping conducted by Taipei City: The survey is conducted monthly and involves long-term follow-up.
  2. The survey targets general households residing in the 12 administrative districts of Taipei City, who are registered with the Republic of China nationality, have an independent household registration, and share a common economic life.
  3. The main purpose of the survey is to collect basic data on household expenditures across different districts and social strata of the city. It aims to understand the living conditions and expenditure situations of citizens, in order to improve citizens' lives, formulate social policies, and implement social welfare measures. The data is also used to adjust the Taipei City Consumer Price Index by providing necessary values for price-checking items and their weight structure. All individual data collected in the survey is kept strictly confidential and is used only for overall statistical analysis; it will not be used for any other purposes. Respondents are encouraged to cooperate and provide accurate and detailed information.
  4. The survey covers household population composition, household equipment and housing conditions, non-consumption expenditures, and consumption expenditures.
  5. The survey uses multiple methods, including online reporting and survey forms left for completion.
  6. The Household Income and Expenditure Accounting Survey report ceased publication in 2020. The survey data is now used only for internal reference.
